This means that junction box 1 will have one wire to the reactor and one to the second box. You can only have a max of 5 wires to a node. These boxes are the "trunk" that branches out to the other devices. The first junction box connects to the second junction box (directly to left of the first) and the second box to the third (at the top). Best practice is to only have one wire coming from the reactor power node and going to the first junction box (one on the right directly above the reactor). Don't kill yourself trying to wire or unwire something. Having a low electrical skill increases the chance of getting shocked and unlike normal repair shocks, wiring shocks hurt a lot more. You need to open the interface and try again. If you get shocked wile wiring something the change you just made did not save. It will tell you what it is connected to on the other side. ![]() You can see what wire connects to what device from the wiring interface by holding your mouse over that wire. Go to the other end of that wire and open the interface and remove the wire from the node and drag it into your hotbar. You can disconnect and remove a wire by first disconnecting the wire from the node on one side (device or junction box). You should now see a wire running along the wall connecting the two devices. Drag the wire on the bottom to the desired node and exit the interface. Go to the desired junction box or device and press "E" to open the interface. You will now be dragging the wire as you move. Close the wiring interface by hitting ESC on your keyboard or right-clicking. Drag the wire to the desired node and release. The new wire should appear in the wiring interface as being disconnected and coming up from the bottom. You connect a new wire to an interface by holding a screwdriver in one hand and a wire in the other and pressing "E". You can open the wiring interface by having a screwdriver in your hand and pressing "E" by default Locking the wires to prevent griefing from the server options will make a beacon mission impossible to complete. ![]() You must have wiring turned on in the server settings if you're playing multiplayer. When the round ends they will be back on the ship. To be extra safe leave someone behind in the station to patch holes. The station can also get attacked and flood so make haste to either the exit or you can return to the station you came from. Have someone on the guns to kill them while you get back to the sub. When the beacon turns on monsters will spawn and attack. This is why having 2 functioning doors is nice.īook it to the exit. Leave the station making sure not to flood it on your way out. You should get a notification that the mission is complete The sonar beacon is outside the station on a little antenna just to the left of the door as you exit.Ĭheck/connect the signal wire from the sonar beacon (data out) to the sonar console (transducer in).ĭouble check that everything is fully repaired and go to the sonar console and turn the sonar beacon to active. ![]() Wait until the water is completely drained from the station so stuff stops breaking.Ĭheck/connect power to the sonar terminal from the top junction boxĬheck/connect power to the sonar beacon from the top junction box. Turn on the power to the small pump if it is off and drag the slider to outĪs the water slowly drains you will have to occasionally repair the reactor and junction boxes as they break because they are under water. Power the reactor with the fuel rod, turn it on, and toggle it to automatic control. There is a third box at the top of the station.Ĭheck/connect power to the small pump at the bottom of the station ![]() Repair everything with your screwdriver and wrench.Ĭheck/connect power wires between the reactor power and first junction boxĬheck/connect power wires between junction boxes. Patch all external holes with a welding tool. It is important that at least 2 of the 3 doors in the entrance close so you can seal the beacon and have an airlock to exit without flooding it. If a wire is missing from a door button you will have to use a crowbar to open that door or you will have to wire the button to the door. Things you'll need: 4-5 wires, welding tool, crowbar, fuel rod, screwdriver, wrenchĪll beacons are laid out the same way but what wires are missing changes from mission to mission.Įnter the beacon station.
